Sirdar DK snuggly Pearls substitute?
What substitute can i use for Sirdar DK snuggly pearls. Composition 53% nylon, 43% acrylic, 4% polyester. Tension is 22st over 28 rows over 10cms. It is machine washable. I would really like a yarn that can be bought in Australia for cheaper price.
The only thing you really need to worry about is the gauge. If the yarn suggested in the pattern is worsted weight, then use a worsted weight. If the composition of the yarn is what you want, then the best bet is to buy the pricey stuff. Sometimes, they are almost impossible to find at a discount outlet or on the internet.
I completely understand about using an affordable yarn. I get a lot of my yarns off of the internet. There’s a lot of CONE yarn, that you can get by the pound or the cone. Most cones are 1.5 to 3 lbs. Webs had some great cones of yarn for $3 – $5, last time I bought some. (Last month.)
